Many generations were left out of participating in the wealth game. Now that we have the internet, these stories can be told, and “how-to” information can be shared freely.

That doesn’t change the fact that there is a real need for repair in these communities, as many of them still suffer from the lingering effects of “unwritten” policies.

Talking about reparations isn’t easy as there is a clear line between those who see it as a handout, and those who see it as a hand up.

Either way, the conversation is one that should happen more often.
